The Android Central guys recently reviewed the new ASUS EeePad Transformer. By the name I’m sure you’re asking…what is this Transformer you speak of? Well the Transformer is a 10.1-inch tablet running Android 3.0.1, the newest version of Honeycomb. But wait, it not just a tablet, it transformers (hence the name) into a full-fledged Android Laptop. Is it a tablet? Is it a laptop? Well it’s both.

Android Central seems to really like this new tablet/laptop from ASUS. Based on what I’ve seen, I couldn’t agree more. This thing is awesome!

The keyboard accessory is fantastic. I don’t think it could replace my full-time laptop, but it definitely could become my preferred mobile device.

Mouse and Keyboard

Here is what Phil from Android Central had to say:

We’ve heard it before — tablets are killing netbooks. There’s no reason to carry around a full-size laptop anymore. And so on and so forth. Neither statement is true. But whereas other tablet-keyboard combinations have come up short, the ASUS EeePad Transformer (henceforth to be referred to by its surname) is the most viable Android laptop we’ve seen yet. So I guess you are wondering when you can pick this up? Well the 16GB version will be $399 and the 32GB version costs $499. The optional keyboard dock is another $150. You can purchase the ASUS EeePad Transformer starting April 26. I want one, so you should go get one too!
